Any Rules for the Music Industry?

Most of the time, people that have money and power seem to do whatever they want to do. They party hard and drink. It is especially bad when you see your favorite stars doing drugs. Is anyone loosing money on these entertainers because of drugs? Are there any rules for the music industry about drugs? If I were in charge of a record company, I would have rules. If I had new talent coming into my recording studio, I would let everyone know right from the start that there would be no drugs. If so, I would not do business with them anymore. A recording contract would not matter in my world if drugs would be involved. Everything would stop. When we see things happening that are not right, we should stand up for what is right. When you do not stand up for what is right, what is bad can become in charge of you and take over what is good.

What's in the Apple Store?

What's in the Apple store? I see Mac computers, iPods, iPhones, iPads, iTunes, and other products. I see iPods, iPhones, and iPads everywhere. I see other folks use them and buy them, but looks like I do not have a big interest in them for some reason. To me, everything is just a smaller version of a computer. I still have a big interest in regular computers. I like hooking up my microphones and cameras and multi-track recorders to the regular computer. There are so many things I like to use with the computer. I cannot live without my keyboard to type on my blogs. Just having an iPad or an iPhone would not be enough for me. If I had to shop and buy today from the Apple store, it would be for a new computer.

Progress Energy

During Hurricane Irene, I thought about Progress Energy when my lights were out. There was absolutely no power whatsoever. I had a candle burning with oil evaporating and a gas stove that was too hot to deal with.

My next door neighbor beside me has a generator. It was very loud. Generators look kind of big, and I never thought about buying one. I just don't have a place to put one, and they can be pretty expensive. Today, my mind fell on Progress Energy while thinking of generators. What if Progress Energy had a special kind of generator to keep everybody's lights on? Would that be hard to do with all of the technology in the world? What do you think?

It would be kind of nice if there was some kind of  generator for every neighborhood in case of an emergency. Maybe in the future, Progress Energy will be able to do something like that. It could be a little box hooked on to the telephone poles and maybe a digital box. I have faith in technology. Amazing things are happening.

One of the best ways to make cash online is writing with ads. Sometimes it seems like the only way. Having an online store or shop is another way, but it is also about advertising. You have to advertise to sell. Getting paid for a click or a view should get you lots of money. It is not as easy as it sounds. The most simple thing seems to be the hardest. You might think that it is better to sell a t-shirt. For some, it might be.

What other ways could the Internet be used to make cash? I think there should be better online jobs. If you are going to blog, and if you are a very good blogger, I think you should be offered a job to keep blogging. I think that top bloggers should be paid. If you get a job, you know that you are going to be paid something. It is more a sure thing whether you get paid by the month or paid by the week. I think it is better than sitting around waiting to get paid for a click on an ad. It could take forever. A job is better than a click.
